On the occasion of our second educational song launch (read more) on 5th Aug’22, AWBP is conducting a PAN India contest under two categories – photography and videography under the theme “Effect of Urbanisation On Animals’. The contest starts from 6th Jun’22 and for other details refer below.

Take Away: 

For The Participants
Get to learn the reality of homeless animals’ lifestyles in rural areas / urban cities. Makes us  realize how humans have destroyed their habitats and the sufferings of these animals. This will help us be more responsible towards animal welfare and extend our continuous love and support throughout the year towards them.

For The Trust
Our attempt is to spread awareness to the larger audience across India to all age groups. We hope this whole event will help us to bring a good change in the people towards homeless animals.

 General rules:

  • No participation fee.
  • Eligibility is limited to ages 8+ years and above at submission.
  • Participants need to be from India.
  • Can participate in both or any one of the categories (Photo, and Video Contest).
  • You agree to give exclusive rights on your submission work to AWBP Trust, which means you should not use it outside anywhere (we will give credit to you for your work wherever we publish it, but the work remains as AWBP Trust property).
  • All the photos/videos will become the property of AWBP Trust. Each participant automatically grants AWBP Trust the right to reproduce, publish, transmit, or otherwise communicate to the public their entry, in whole or in part, or use any media without permission or payment.
  • AWBP Trust reserves the final right, where necessary, to make amendments to the below rules and to select the winners of the competition. 
  • Entries must not have been published, self-published, posted on a website, or made public on social media, broadcast, or featured among the winners in another competition before or after 20th Jul’22.

Contest Rules-

Photography :

  1. Location can be rural areas or urban cities.
  2. Each participant must submit 3 photos per entry.
  3. The photo must be the original work of the participant.
  4. The photo needs to be in .JPEG/.HEIC/ any DSLR raw file format.
  5. The photo dimension must be >= 1920 px  by 1080 px or >=1080 px by 1920 px or =1080 px by 1080 px.
  6. The photos should not contain any words like the owner’s name/publisher name/artist’s name, quotes, etc., 
  7. Photographs that have been digitally altered beyond standard optimization (removal of dust, cropping, reasonable adjustments to exposure, color and contrast, etc.) will be disqualified.
  8. No watermark should be on the photograph.
  9. Photography work must be clear and convey a message in it.
  10. Photos must include homeless (stray) animals only and not pets. 
  11. Photos can contain participants’ pictures with homeless animals but not other people.
  12. Ensure file name format is awbptrust_pvcontest_<category>_<full name>_<number> for example awbptrust_pvcontest_photography_lakshmanmolleti_1 awbptrust_pvcontest_photography_lakshmanmolleti_2 awbptrust_pvcontest_photography_lakshmanmolleti_3
  13. Place your work in your google drive folder and share the url link while submitting your entry (refer section below ‘where to submit?) and also grant access to that file/files on your google drive folder to contact@awbpindia.org.
  14. Participant photos will become the property of AWBP Trust. Each participant automatically grants AWBP Trust the right to reproduce, publish, transmit, or otherwise communicate to the public their entry, in whole or in part, or using any media for any purpose without permission or payment.
  15. Entries must not have been published, self-published, posted on a website, or made public on social media, broadcast, or featured among the winners in another competition before or after 20th Jul’22.

Videography :

  1. Location can be rural areas or urban cities.
  2. Each participant can submit only one video clip per entry.
  3. The video must be the original work of the participant.
  4. Videos made with a camcorder, a camera, or a mobile phone are eligible. 
  5. It must be sent in the formats accepted by YouTube, namely .wmv (Windows Movie Maker, Windows Media Player, etc.), .avi (Audio Video Interleave), .mov (iMovie), .mp4, or mpeg4 (Quicktime video format).
  6. The video dimension must be >= 1090 PX by 1080 px or >= 1080 px by 1920 px or 4k or above.
  7. Videos must include homeless (stray) animals only and not pets. 
  8. Videos can contain participants’ in it with homeless animals but not other people.
  9. All videos must be a minimum of 1 min to a maximum of 5 minutes in length.
  10. The videos must present visual elements of the theme but not add text, effects, watermarks etc (keep it natural). You can record audio, add music but it’s optional.
  11. Videography work must be clear and convey a message in it.
  12. No copyrighted materials (music, images, etc.) may be used for this contest unless you own the copyright.
  13. All entries will be judged anonymously, and the creator’s name must not appear on the video itself.
  14. Ensure file name format is awbptrust_pvcontest_<category>_<full name>. For example awbptrust_pvcontest_videography_lakshmanmolleti
  15. Place your work in your google drive folder and share the url link while submitting your entry (refer section below ‘where to submit?) and also grant access to that file/files on your google drive folder to contact@awbpindia.org.
  16. Participant video will become the property of AWBP Trust. Each participant automatically grants AWBP Trust the right to reproduce, publish, transmit, or otherwise communicate to the public their entry, in whole or in part, or using any media for any purpose without permission or payment.
  17. Entries must not have been published, self-published, posted on a website, or made public on social media, broadcast, or featured among the winners in another competition before or after 20th Jul’22.

Participants must ensure followed all the rules (refer below), before submitting submitting the entry. Place your work in your google drive folder and share the url link while submitting the form and also grant access to contact@awbpindia.org.

Prizes :

A prize will be awarded for First Place, Second place and third place under each category, Photography and Videography.First Prize: 5000 INR Worth Gift / Cash, Second Prize:3000 INR Worth Gift/ Cash and Third Prize: 2000 INR Worth Gift/ Cash along with the e-certificate.

  • The winners will be announced on 25th Aug’22 on our official website and socials.
  • The prizes will be communicated within one week time from the day winners are announced in an email.
  • The prizes can’t be exchanged or transferred. 
  • The prizes can’t be delivered outside India.
  • The Prize will be in the form of a shopping voucher/ cash.

All the participants will get the participant e-certificate from our organization on or before 15th Aug’22.

How will awards be determined?

Age is just a number for any work. Keep up your spirit and participate to uplift animal welfare in the community for the betterment of everyone. Our Panelist will look at the work delivered based on the parameters we have mentioned, but not on an age basis.

  • Entries should follow the rules mentioned in each category.
  • The panel will focus on the following parameters: creativity, concept picked, the message conveyed and detailing in the Photo/Video during the selection process.
  • The decision of the panel is final.
