When Compassion Entered the Workplace
Every workplace has the potential to become more than just a space for professional growth—it can become a place where humanity expands beyond people and embraces every living being. On 8th July 2026, AWBP Trust had the privilege of partnering with Google Hyderabad as part of the Google Serve Employee Engagement Program, transforming an ordinary workday into an inspiring journey of compassion, creativity, and coexistence with animals.

Opening Hearts Through Awareness
The event began with an engaging introduction by Lakshman Molleti, Founder of AWBP Trust. He shared the story behind the Trust, its three core focus areas—Water, Education, and Innovation—and emphasized the importance of rebuilding the lost connection between humans and animals. Through heartfelt examples, he spoke about our collective ignorance towards animals living around us and how simple acts of Animal Seva can create meaningful change in the community.
Painting Bowls, Painting Hope
The highlight of the program was the Water Bowl Painting Activity, where employees transformed plain cement bowls into colorful symbols of compassion. Before the activity began, participants were guided on the correct painting technique, ensuring that the outer surface was beautifully decorated while leaving space below the rim to prevent any harm to animals using the bowls. Paints, palettes, brushes, and all required materials were thoughtfully arranged, making it easy for everyone to participate with enthusiasm.

Creativity Filled Every Corner
Soon, the venue was filled with smiling faces, cheerful conversations, and vibrant colors. Every participant poured their creativity into designing unique water bowls, each reflecting kindness in its own way. Once completed, the bowls were carefully placed aside, and many employees captured memorable photographs with their artwork. A few participants even chose to take their painted bowls home, committing to place them outside for animals in their own neighborhoods.
Learning Beyond the Activity
Alongside the painting session, AWBP Trust organized several awareness stalls to encourage compassionate living. Employees explored beautiful bird nests and feeders, learning how simple balcony spaces can become safe homes for birds. Conversations around coexistence inspired many to rethink how urban environments can also nurture wildlife through thoughtful and responsible actions.
Innovation That Protects Lives
One of the major attractions was AWBP Trust’s Sharp Object Waste Management Innovation, designed to safely segregate harmful waste that often injures innocent animals. Employees actively interacted with the demonstration and understood how responsible waste disposal can prevent countless injuries to stray animals. The innovation sparked meaningful discussions about how small behavioural changes can protect both animals and sanitation workers.

Stories That Inspire Compassion
The Coexistence Artwork Exhibition attracted many curious visitors throughout the event. Employees appreciated the powerful illustrations promoting harmony between humans and animals, and many happily received coexistence awareness posters. Copies of “The Journey of Bunty & Chinku” were also shared with interested readers, inviting them to explore the message of empathy and coexistence while encouraging them to share their valuable feedback with the Trust.

From Awareness to Action
The engagement activities continued from 10:30 AM to 12:45 PM, creating a vibrant atmosphere of learning and participation. Following this, the AWBP Trust team focused on distributing painted water bowls, sharing books and awareness materials, and inviting employees to become future volunteers. Several participants expressed genuine interest in supporting the Trust’s mission, with many also showing willingness to contribute through donations and long-term volunteering.
A Community Ready to Make a Difference
One of the most encouraging aspects of the event was the openness shown by Google employees. Every conversation reflected curiosity, empathy, and a willingness to understand the lives of animals sharing our surroundings. Many participants shared that they were already feeding animals or placing water outside their homes, while others promised to begin these compassionate practices after the event. It was inspiring to witness awareness gradually turning into commitment.
Impact Created Together
The Google Serve Employee Engagement Program successfully sensitized over 200 employees about coexistence and responsible animal care. During the event, AWBP Trust distributed 50 copies of “The Journey of Bunty & Chinku”, 60 coexistence awareness posters, and 21 water bowls that will now serve countless thirsty animals across different communities. Every interaction became another step toward building a kinder and more compassionate society.
Our Heartfelt Gratitude
This meaningful initiative became possible because of the dedication and teamwork of many compassionate individuals. We extend our sincere appreciation to the AWBP Trust team—Yashashwini, Vidhatri, Amulya, Devam, Kalpana, and Lakshman—whose exceptional efforts in planning, arranging, presenting, interacting, and sensitizing participants made the event truly impactful.

A very special note of gratitude goes to Ankit and Manasa from Google, whose continuous encouragement, approvals, coordination, and unwavering support played a vital role in making this employee engagement program a grand success. Their belief in the power of compassion enabled hundreds of employees to become part of a movement that extends kindness beyond humanity.
Together Towards a Compassionate Future
At AWBP Trust, we believe that every painted bowl represents much more than art—it represents hope, responsibility, and a promise that no animal should suffer from thirst simply because humans overlooked them. Events like these remind us that when organizations and individuals unite with compassion, workplaces become centres of social transformation, and simple actions become lifelong commitments toward creating a world where every life is respected, valued, and cared for.
