Improving humans’ lives doesn’t mean making animals’ lives devastating! Let’s coexist peacefully by loving and supporting homeless animals in the community.

education song effect of urbanisation on animals

Trust Focus On Education

It is rightly said that education is the most powerful tool we can use to bring the good change in the people. AWBP Trust has always put efforts into connecting humans with animals through continuous education programs. As part of it, we composed our second educational song (watch all educational songs), that talks about ‘EFFECT OF URBANISATION ON ANIMALS,’ which is one significant aspect of how human actions are resulting in animal suffering. The song is set to release on 5th Aug’22 and integrated a photo video contest (read more) that starts on 6th Jun’22, to connect and sensitize more people in the community .

Urbanisation Impact On Animal Habitats

We Humans generally come across different situations in our daily lives, where we see some animals searching for food in dustbins, drinking water from unhealthy and dirty drains, getting injured or losing their lives in road accidents, being abused by people and many more instances as such. But, somewhere, we forgot to stop and think that animal life was far better before we slowly started converting all the rural areas into urban lands in the name of development. Little by little, we used our time, effort, and energy to make our lives better but rarely cared about the other beings that live with us. Even after depriving them of their rights, we are a little less concerned and responsible than we need to be.

But, wait a minute, how does improving my life affect animal well-being and take away their freedom? This song talks precisely about how urbanisation is, on the other hand, not beneficial to animals as it is to humans.

Animals Lifestyle In Villages

Ever wondered how beautiful animals’ lives used to be when in villages? The pure water they can access from the nearby water bodies which supported life inside them and quenched the thirst of terrestrial animals, the pollution free air, the peace knowing no vehicle would hit them when asleep, the food they would get, the love and care from the surrounding people, the happiness when they rest under the shade of a tree or nearby a mud house! Indeed, their lives wouldn’t have been that glorious, but it was far better than what it is now.

Animals Suffering In Cities

We humans have turned villages into cities. We were successful in transforming a land filled with trees into buildings. We are still putting efforts into making our life more comfortable and convenient. When our only focus is on development, we forget about the lives of our fellow beings. We are responsible for destroying the environment, but they are also facing the consequences of our actions along with us.

Animals no longer have that glorious life; instead, we started using them to our advantage by caging them, using their skin, teeth, fur, claws for our luxury, devouring their flesh, and using them in the entertainment business. The air and water is polluted imposing a threat on many marine and aerial animals. We were the ones destroying their habitats and now punish them for entering into ours. Our hatred and discrimination made them aggressive and fearful. Many are losing their lives because they cannot survive the harsh circumstances.

Be Responsible And Compassionate

We need to understand the fact that animals lost their habitats only because we humans wanted improvement in our lifestyle. Development isn’t bad, but it shouldn’t be a curse on animals’ lives. Being more able than them doesn’t mean we need to be opportunistic; rather, we need to be more responsible for their well-being for the betterment of everyone. Being compassionate and supporting them will help us live in harmony together. Simple acts like giving them food, having a water bowl near our house, and not harming them for our own selfish reasons can make a huge difference in their lives and for the community.
