The AWBP Trust, with its unwavering dedication to improving animal welfare, recently embarked on a transformative journey with its “Drive for a Cause Ride#8” initiative. This endeavor held profound significance as it marked the commencement of a vital project along the  Solar Cycling Track, Hyderabad.

Witnessing the plight of animals struggling to find water along the cycling track, AWBP Trust launched a mission to ensure their access to clean drinking water year-round. The journey commenced in Nanakramguda, traversing through Kollur and Narsingi—areas known for their scarce water sources for animals.

The first stop was the solar cycling track, meticulously managed by KMV Projects under the stewardship of Mr. Kishan. Following fruitful discussions, AWBP Trust collaborated with Mr. Ramaraju and Mr. Charan to strategically install 16 water bowls across the 23-kilometer track.

On April 21st, AWBP Trust returned to the solar cycling track to install the water bowls at designated points, guided by Mr. Ramaraju and Mr. Charan. They also briefed the track’s housekeeping staff on proper maintenance procedures, ensuring the bowls’ longevity and functionality.

The journey continued to Madeenaguda and Ameenpur, where AWBP Trust engaged with local residents and distributed additional water bowls, bringing the total to 26. Throughout the initiative, awareness about the significance of animal welfare was fervently raised.

The impact of this initiative resonated deeply with a local real estate builder, who not only lauded AWBP Trust’s dedication but also requested water bowls for his ongoing project. This exemplifies the growing recognition of the importance of harmonious coexistence between humans and animals.

By the conclusion of the 6-hour drive spanning 83 kilometers, AWBP Trust had interacted with approximately 16 individuals and provided essential water access to an estimated 130 animals through the installation of 26 water bowls. This initiative represents a significant stride forward in AWBP Trust’s ongoing commitment to animal welfare.

Special acknowledgment is extended to team members Lakshman Molleti and Lokesh Majji for their exemplary efforts in executing the event flawlessly. With initiatives like “Drive for a Cause 8,” AWBP Trust continues to make waves in the realm of animal welfare, inspiring positive change and fostering a brighter future for animals in need.
