Drive for a Cause Ride #7 holds special significance for us as we aim to assist animals near IT companies where access to water is limited due to underground management systems. Additionally, we aimed to inspire and motivate employees towards animal welfare at their respective workplaces. We began our endeavor with two companies, TWORKS and THUB, located in Gachibowli, Hyderabad.
AWBP Trust is committed to achieving consistent and lasting results in all our animal welfare initiatives. After conducting extensive research, we identified the facility managers of buildings as key individuals in controlling housekeeping teams. At T WORKS, we interacted with Santosh, and at T HUB, we engaged with Pandu, both of whom are facility managers. After sensitizing them to our cause, they took the necessary steps to obtain permission from higher officials and agreed to take responsibility for maintaining the water bowls filled with clean water year-round.
On April 20th, we embarked on a heartwarming journey to ensure that our community animals have access to clean drinking water throughout the year. Our mission spanned six hours, covering a distance of nearly 80 kilometers from Gachibowli to Beeramguda.
Our first stop was T Works and T Hub software companies located in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, where we met with the facility managers. Recognizing the importance of our initiative, we identified the water bowl installing points and provided 7 bowls to T Works and 6 bowls to T Hub, ensuring they were placed both indoors and outdoors. We also educated their housekeeping teams on the maintenance process to ensure the bowls remain clean and functional.
Continuing our journey, we visited the Gachibowli Commissionerate office, where we distributed 4 bowls to provide a vital water source for animals in the area. We then proceeded to Beeramguda dump yard, distributing 4 water bowls to address the scarcity of clean water in the vicinity.
In addition to providing water bowls, we prioritized spreading awareness about our initiative. Throughout the drive, we engaged with locals, explaining the significance of our mission for the well-being of community animals. This led to the distribution of an additional 6 bowls to local shopkeepers who expressed enthusiasm for contributing to the cause.
By the end of the drive, we distributed a total of 21 water bowls across various locations, benefiting 105 community animals with access to clean water year-round.
