Our team conducted an awareness and water bowl distribution event on April 30th, 2024, in Pune to provide essential clean water for community animals and raise awareness about animal welfare. Recognizing the importance of having the right individuals involved, we initiated discussions with Ayushi Patel to kickstart our journey. After thorough deliberation, we settled on Swami Vivekananda Udyan in Viman Nagar as the venue, obtaining the necessary permission from the supportive local corporator.

With the venue finalized and permissions secured, we began preparing for the event. Posters and informative materials were dispatched to Ayushi’s residence. We were delighted to welcome three enthusiastic young volunteers, Parija, Parth, and Aryan, to our team for the event. Notably, they are the youngest volunteers to participate in an AWBP event since 2017!

The event commenced at 7:00 am on April 30th, with our volunteers engaging in meaningful interactions with visitors. We received an overwhelming response to our initiative, with many individuals showing their support by collecting water bowls to aid community animals. Over the course of the two-hour event, from 7:00 am to 9:00 am, we distributed a total of 30 water bowls, potentially providing clean water access to approximately 150 animals. Throughout the event, we interacted with and sensitized around 65 people, spreading awareness about the importance of ensuring community animals remain hydrated. The visitors expressed genuine appreciation for our efforts.
