About Storybook
Lakshman Molleti, the founder of AWBP Trust and Author of the book, felt a need to create awareness in all age groups through storytelling, especially in educational institutions. People should have access to more content on animal welfare with a good presentation which is easy to understand, inspire and follow. His first storybook is “THE JOURNEY OF BUNTY & CHINKU”. This book is a story that follows the friendship between a boy and his adopted dog through their journey to contribute to community welfare. This book echoes the real-world experiences that many people face daily. Human responsibility towards animal welfare in the community and its role in uplifting humans and the environment is the central theme and premise of the book. The book covers the various life stages and growth cycles in Bunty and Chinku’s life. Every story discusses an important topic that one should focus on and follow. Overall, it is a heartfelt, educational and informative story, guaranteed to inspire you to contribute to animal welfare for the betterment of humans, animals, and the environment.
Pre-Launch
The storybook pre-launch happened in UNICENT School, Kompally, Hyderabad, on 17th
Feb’23. The Author received a warm welcome from the school principal, teachers and students. Lakshman Molleti addressed the students about the importance of animal welfare and ahimsa in one’s life. Later, students interacted with the Author to learn how the book idea started and about animal welfare activities. The Author gave a few book copies to the respected class representatives to ensure the students read and share among them, and also handed over a few copies to the school librarian. To add more beauty to the event, the Author, teacher and students have placed a water bowl to serve the needy animal both in and outside the school campus.
Storybook Launch
18th February is very precious date for the author Lakshman Molleti as both of his charitable trusts are started on the same date (AWBP Trust 18th Feb’20 / ANINV Trust 18th Feb’22). He sets some goal and try to achieve it by next year on same date. So he decided to launch the storybook on this date to add one more proud achievement in his journey.
On the occasion of the trust’s anniversary (AWBP Trust 18th Feb ’20 / ANINV Trust 18th Feb’ 22), Lakshman Molleti decided to release the book on 18th Feb’23. He sets a goal every year and tries to achieve it by the following year on the same date. So he decided to launch the storybook on this date to add one more proud achievement to his journey.
The Author decided to launch the book in Government High School, Vijayanagar Colony, Hyderabad. The event started with an interaction between the Author and students. Authors get to know about their hobbies and future goals. Teacher Mr Suresh of the school continued by sharing the Author’s intention of visiting the school and about the book. Mr Suresh took a few examples from the storybook PANCHATANTRA and made the students understand the importance of the welfare of animals importance. After a healthy talk, the book launch was done with the teacher by the Author Lakshman. He provided a few book copies to the students and also a few copies to their school library.
Author Lakshman Molleti ended with a quote, “Change should begin with you, and your knowledge is useless when you don’t follow, implement what you have learned towards community building.”
