awbp trust animal welfare awareness film playing in prasads multiplex

Screening AWBP Trust animal welfare film in Prasads Digital Film Lab

Like humans, even animals have every right to live the way they want to. People need to be educated about animal welfare. When animal welfare is ignored, people become unempathetic toward them and others, and also they cause violence leading to the deaths of many innocent animals. However, one does not realize that animals are essential for good environmental conditions. They keep nature in balance. Their welfare is vital for humans to exist peacefully. It can be achieved solely through educating people about animal welfare.

Awareness In Cinema Halls

AWBP Trust always strives to spread awareness to connect humans with animals. This time we have decided to use the cinema halls as the medium to educate people about animal welfare.  As part of our motive to spread awareness to many people, we have contemplated playing our educational ad film in the cinema halls before the actual film starts. It is in the form of an advertisement. In accordance with this, we initially approached Shri Ramesh Prasad, Chairman of PRASADS Multiplex, Hyderabad, on 16th September 2022. We have requested and put forth a proposal to allocate a slot of 30 seconds to 1 minute to screen our animal welfare film as an advertisement before the actual film screening. He considered our work of

spreading the message of animal welfare and connected us with Mr. Rajesh for further clearance. Mr. Rajesh guided us about the next course of action regarding the format of the film and its censor board certification. He kindly introduced us to Mrs. Shifali, Head, Censor Board, Hyderabad. She facilitated our work in obtaining the certification for our films in both original (Telugu) and Dubbed (Hindi) versions. We received a U rating for all our films. This means that everyone, including children, can be our viewers, which brings us one step closer to achieving our objective.

Pilot Launch

It took us two months to complete the process. Firstly, converting our films to theatrical format, screening in PRASADS labs as part of film validations concerning visuals and audio, obtaining CBFC certification, and scheduling regular meetings with the concerned personnel took a lot of work. Despite the challenges, we completed all the steps and handed the final films to the concerned team. PRASADS Multiplex are ready to play our awareness films from 27th January 2023 on ad-hoc basis. This activity we are taking as a pilot launch. We will try our best to increase the playing of animal welfare awareness short films across more cinemas in future.

This whole attempt is first in INDIA, playing animal welfare films on Big Screen (cinemas). Even though our organization is struggling for funds, we continue our smart ways to achieve the goals with our strong commitment towards the cause.

We cordially thank Shri Ramesh Prasad, Mr. Rajesh, Mr. Mohin and Mrs. Shifali for facilitating our work. We also extend our gratitude to our team  Amritha Alapati, Pradeep Gurrala, Praveen Gurrala, and Lakshman Molleti, for being a part of this journey and successfully accomplishing it.

We will continue to expand the same across multiple cinema halls in the coming days by reaching out to respected cinema authorities with our proposals. We wholeheartedly hope this approach will bring change in the people and start to follow ahimsa and also love and care for all animals in the community always.
