A Celebration Close to the AWBP Family

Some weddings are remembered for their grandeur, while others are remembered for the values they leave behind. The wedding of Praveen Gurrala and Sandeepika, held on 27th July 2026, was one such unforgettable celebration. It was not just the union of two beautiful souls, but the beginning of a life built on compassion, sustainability, and kindness towards every living being.

A Family Member Beyond the Team

For AWBP Trust, this wedding was deeply personal. Praveen Gurrala is one of our dearest team members, an Advisor to AWBP Trust, and someone who has always stood beside our Founder, Lakshman Molleti, through every challenge. More than a colleague, he has been a true friend and family member whose support has strengthened our journey over the years.

Every Wedding Decision Had a Purpose

Long before the wedding day, Praveen shared every major plan with Lakshman. Every discussion revolved around one thought—how to make the wedding sustainable, cruelty-free, and environmentally responsible. It was heartwarming to witness a family giving such importance to values alongside traditions.

Choosing Compassion Over Cruelty

From selecting cotton and cruelty-free clothing to ensuring every decoration was eco-friendly, the family carefully discussed each decision with vendors. They proved that a beautiful wedding does not require harming animals or nature. Every small choice reflected responsibility and compassion.

A Feast That Protected Lives

The food arrangements became one of the biggest highlights of the celebration. More than 30 delicious vegan dishes were served, including Jackfruit Biryani, Peanut Curd, Vegan Ice Cream, and many traditional plant-based delicacies. Every guest experienced how delicious food can be without causing harm to animals.

Sustainability at Every Meal

The commitment extended beyond the menu. Eco-friendly plates and traditional banana leaves replaced unnecessary plastic wherever possible. The arrangements beautifully combined Indian traditions with modern environmental responsibility.

Responsible Waste Management

After the meals, equal care was given to waste segregation. Wet waste was collected separately for composting, while plastic waste was sent for proper recycling. This simple effort reflected how every celebration can reduce its environmental footprint.

Decorations That Respected Nature

The wedding venue was decorated using sustainable and cruelty-free materials. Every arrangement looked elegant while staying true to the couple’s values. Even their clothing and accessories reflected their commitment to a cruelty-free lifestyle.

A Platform for Awareness

The bride and groom encouraged AWBP Trust to install an awareness standee promoting sustainable and cruelty-free celebrations. Hundreds of guests had the opportunity to learn how weddings can become kinder to animals, people, and the environment. Their thoughtful gesture transformed the wedding into a platform for positive social change.

Sharing Happiness with Society

The couple also wished to celebrate by helping others. Instead of limiting their joy to family and friends, they suggested donating food to a human welfare organisation. Through AWBP Trust, we connected with Mrs. Vishalakshi, Founder of Dhatri Foundation, which lovingly cares for nearly 50 boys, 40 girls, and its dedicated staff. This collaboration made the celebration even more meaningful. Honouring our invitation, Mrs. Vishalakshi, Founder of Dhatri Foundation, visited the wedding along with a few children from the Foundation to bless and congratulate the newly married couple. Their presence added warmth and a deeper sense of purpose to the celebration.

The occasion also gave Lakshman Molleti, Founder of AWBP Trust, the opportunity to spend meaningful time with Mrs. Vishalakshi, exchanging thoughts on social responsibility, community welfare, and creating compassionate change together. As a gesture of goodwill, AWBP Trust presented 20 copies of The Journey of Bunty & Chinku—including both the English and Telugu editions—to Dhatri Foundation. These books will be used by the Foundation’s children and staff to promote empathy, compassion, and the spirit of peaceful coexistence between humans and animals.

Every Life Matters

During the early hours of 27th July, around 1:00 AM, Lakshman noticed a frightened prawn inside the function hall. A few people were about to kill it. He immediately requested them to stop, gently rescued the prawn with the help of the security staff, and safely released it nearby. He also explained that every living being deserves a chance to live, reminding everyone that compassion is always stronger than violence.

Conversations That Inspired Change

Throughout the wedding, Lakshman interacted with decorators, caterers, vendors, function hall staff, and guests. Every conversation became an opportunity to spread awareness about veganism, Ahimsa, sustainable celebrations, animal welfare, and community responsibility. Even small conversations have the power to inspire lasting change.

A Wedding That Set a New Example

This wedding beautifully proved that celebrations can be joyful without harming animals or the environment. Every arrangement reflected thoughtful planning, compassion, and social responsibility. It showed that true love is not only shared between two people but also extends to nature, animals, and society.

Heartfelt Gratitude

The entire AWBP Trust family extends its warmest congratulations to Praveen Gurrala and Sandeepika. We sincerely thank Pradeep Gurrala for his constant support and express our heartfelt appreciation to their parents for encouraging such compassionate values. May your married life be filled with happiness, love, good health, and countless opportunities to inspire others through kindness.

Happy Married Life!

May your journey together continue to spread compassion, sustainability, and Ahimsa wherever life takes you

Let others take this as an inspiration – Let’s keep our celebrations sustainable and cruelty-free.
