Every year, Oakridge School, Gachibowli, Hyderabad engages its students from nursery to 5th grade in the Primary Years Program (PYP) activity. The PYP exhibition allows students to share their understanding of real-life issues or topics they have covered. This event serves as an opportunity for students to reflect on their learning while honing presentation and assessment skills.

Mrs Tejaswi Sunkara, teacher of 5th-grade students, reached out to AWBP Trust to invite a guest lecturer on “GLOBAL WARMING IMPACT ON ANIMALS & MITIGATION” for their students participating in the PYP 2024 event. Given our trust’s involvement in education, we gladly accepted the invitation.

To facilitate knowledge sharing, we provided important documents (Eco Food Guide) and references (The Journey Of Bunty & Chinku) to the students ahead of the session and encouraged them to review them beforehand. Additionally, we asked students to log their questions and share them with us. Following the guidelines, students submitted their questions and gained insights into the topic.

On February 15th, 2024, our founder, Lakshman Molleti, interacted with the students via the Teams application. He provided an overview of the topic and addressed the students’ queries.

We hope that the students gained valuable insights during the session and will deliver impressive presentations at the PYP event. Furthermore, we trust that these students will become responsible individuals who actively contribute to animal welfare.
