On April 29, 2025, we proudly launched our inaugural ANIMAL CLUB at the Vishnu Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (VIPER) in Narsapur, Telangana. The occasion was marked by the official exchange of Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) between Lakshman Molleti, Managing Director of AWBP Trust and with the VIPER college principal, Dr. Ramesh Alluri. Our journey to this significant milestone began months earlier when we met with Dr. Alluri to discuss the numerous advantages of establishing an ANIMAL CLUB within the college. He was impressed by our clarity of vision and the thought process we presented. After addressing a few inquiries he had, we received his valuable approval to move forward.

Following detailed discussions with the principal and Mr. Krupa, the NSS head, we had an engaging interaction with the club members. As part of the launch, we formed a dedicated group of students to take the lead in the Animal Club. During the proceedings, we outlined a comprehensive list of activities that the club will undertake. We provided them with an overview of the club’s mission and activities, and students were given the opportunity to clarify their queries. The enthusiasm among the students was palpable, and many expressed their excitement about being part of this new initiative.

One student, Lolitha, shared her thoughts, saying, “When I visit other colleges and see multiple clubs, I often feel disheartened that we don’t have similar options here. This animal club initiative is truly unique, and I feel proud as well as happy to be part of it.”

The VIPER ANIMAL CLUB has started with 19 enthusiastic students, and our first activity focused on installing water bowls for animals, see that all the animals around clean water to drink year-round. A total of 16 bowls were facilitated by the AWBP Trust, with the selected students taking charge to place and fill the bowls both on and off-campus. This initiative not only benefits the local animal community but also enriches the students’ educational experience.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Shyam Sundar and Ms. Gayathri for their unwavering trust in our NGO’s mission. Their support played a crucial role in establishing a connection with the management at Vishnu Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (VIPER).

Mr. Shyam Sundar and Ms. Gayathri’s belief in our vision helped facilitate meaningful discussions that ultimately led to the successful launch of the ANIMAL CLUB. Their commitment to animal welfare and dedication to fostering collaboration within the community have been invaluable. We truly appreciate their efforts in championing our cause and enabling us to reach out to the management, resulting in this significant milestone for our organization. Thank you for being such integral partners in our journey!
