Coexistence with animals is not merely a responsibility; it is an integral part of our lives that enriches our experiences and unveils the true beauty of life. In today’s modern era, it has become evident that humans have become increasingly disconnected from the animal kingdom. This disconnection leads to an imbalance in our lifestyles, resulting in destructive actions deemed as progress, which harm not only humans but also the environment and innocent animals alike.

There is a pressing need to transform societal attitudes so that coexistence with animals is embraced as a fundamental value. Love and care for all animals, regardless of species, should be at the forefront of our collective consciousness. To make this a reality, it is crucial to engage individuals in ongoing animal welfare and rights activities that promote the well-being of animals while fostering positive behavioral changes in humans.

As the gap between humans, animals, and nature continues to grow, we strongly advocate for rekindling our connections through Ahimsa (non-violence) education. Historically, our educational systems have emphasized empathy, compassion, and responsibility in protecting animals and our environment. Unfortunately, this essential aspect of education has largely faded from modern curricula, resulting in increasing conflicts and significant harm to both animals and the environment.

Introducing Ahimsa education back into our educational institutions can help nurture a generation that is not only more empathetic and responsible but also actively contributes to building inclusive communities that prioritize the well-being of animals and the environment.

To facilitate this, the AWBP Trust has initiated the creation of ANIMAL CLUBs within educational institutions. Through these clubs, students will engage in various activities, including:

  • Installing animal water bowls on campus and maintaining them daily.
  • Distributing animal water bowls to community members willing to assist local animals.
  • Participating in awareness sessions to learn about animal welfare and rights and their importance for humans and the environment.
  • Engaging in competitions that enhance knowledge of animal welfare topics.
  • Contributing to inventive research aimed at reducing or preventing animal suffering in the community.
  • Conducting DIY workshops to help animals and strengthen connections with them.
  • Participating in field events to raise awareness about animal welfare and rights in the local community.
Benefits of Animal Club:
  1. Empathy & Compassion Building: Encourages kindness and a sense of responsibility towards animals and nature.
  2. Leadership & Teamwork: Provides opportunities to lead initiatives, collaborate in teams, and organize events.
  3. Skill Development: Enhances communication, event planning, problem-solving, and community engagement skills.
  4. Social Responsibility: Fosters a sense of duty to protect the voiceless and contribute to a better society.
  5. Knowledge Exchange: Offers insight into sustainable and cruelty-free living, promoting personal growth while contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This engagement lasts for one year, with an option for renewal each subsequent year. All productive student volunteers will receive a certificate from our NGO. If your school or college is interested in starting an Animal Club through our NGO, please reach out to us at 7993912345 (WhatsApp) or submit the form here (click here to apply).

By embracing coexistence and fostering a love for all animals, we can cultivate a more harmonious and compassionate world. Let us come together to make a difference!
