On December 25th, 2023, we successfully executed our inaugural on-field education and water bowl initiative at GVS SASTRI Park in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. This significant event was skillfully organized by our dedicated volunteer, Anusha, who efficiently handled logistics, coordinated volunteers, obtained park management permissions, and ensured the event adhered to AWBP Trust guidelines. Other integral team members, including Roja, Vinod, and Sulochana, played crucial roles in the event’s success.

The team’s commendable efforts resulted in a meaningful impact, sensitizing 62 individuals on animal welfare. Additionally, 26 water bowls were distributed to provide continuous access to safe drinking water for animals throughout the year. The positive reception from attendees reflected their appreciation for AWBP Trust’s work. Many acknowledged the crucial need for year-round support, recognizing the adverse impact of human-induced pollution and habitat destruction on homeless animals.

Impact Measures:

  • Educated: 62 people
  • Water Bowls Distributed: 26
