Our team convened for the 16th edition of the Sunday Soul Sante flea market as planned, arriving around 9 am. Upon entering the venue, we swiftly made our way to our stall. Each member busily engaged in decorating the stall, meticulously arranging hoardings adorned with messages, displaying artworks on a table, and positioning educational posters and books attractively.

The day unfolded under the warm sun as visitors trickled in gradually. All team members assumed their respective roles for the event. Two members focused on raising awareness about providing safe water to homeless animals in the community, offering free water bowls to interested individuals. Another team member interacted with visitors about the educational book “The Journey of Bunty & Chinku,” providing complimentary copies to those interested. Additionally, one member showcased the innovative tool “SHARPLOCK” to the public.

Throughout the event, we had the opportunity to engage with people of various age groups, from children to adults. To captivate visitors and encourage them to spend more time with us, we distributed bookmarks and provided bowls for painting. It was heartening to see some visitors enthusiastically participating in painting the bowls, while others appreciated the gesture with bookmarks.

We had meaningful interactions with visitors, raising awareness about our cause. For those interested in supporting safe water initiatives year-round, we distributed free water bowls. Some expressed interest in reading the book and shared feedback with us, prompting us to provide complimentary copies to eligible individuals of all ages.

We also showcased our innovative prototype models, both manual and automated, to a select few members. These products aim to protect animals from small sharp and blunt objects.

We extend our gratitude to our team members Tharun, Madhava, Lakshman, Rakesh, Spandana, and Amritha for their self-motivated leadership throughout the event.

The impact of our efforts is reflected in the following statistics:

  • People Interaction: Approximately 300
  • Hours Spent: 12
  • Age Group: From 8 years+
  • Water Bowls Distributed: 33
  • Educational Book Distributed: 18
