Ever thought about the innocent animal lives,
That once in the jungles, used to thrive?
Ever thought how their families would feel;
And their sorrows, who would heal?
These animals are locked in a cage,
Does anyone know about their rage?
Those poor creatures are helpless out there!
The only thing they can do is, sit and glare.
Only if slaughterhouses would have a glass wall,
The torture suffered by the animals would have been known to all!
Alas! We, humans, are good for nothing,
Except for scoffing and torturing these little beings.
We, humans, have no other work,
Than to keep these animals in the murk.
We only know how to cause their destruction,
And excuse ourselves by saying, “This was not my intention.”
Many animals have become extinct,
All of this is, with humans linked.
Stand up to save instead of killing,
For God’s sake, understand the animal feeling.
They have limbs, faces, emotions all like us,
Then why don’t we understand this fuss?
Why do we behave like a wuss,
While all these animals with trustful eyes, look upon us?
This needs to be stopped at once,
Instead of we, behaving like a dunce.
This can be stopped by showing kindness,
I know, it is the only way to clear this mess.
Hey humans, it is your choice-
Either to be greedy or listen to the animals’ voice.
One thing is for sure,
One day, this world has to become pure.
Is it right to fill sorrow in an animal’s heart?
“Who cares?” saying so we try to act smart.
God has given us brains to understand,
So why do we commit gruesome crimes with our hands?
Showing kindness to animals is as important,
As it is to not make them disheartened.
We need to understand their plight,
And show courtesy instead of spite.
This is the time to show kindness, this is the way,
By which we can bring in each creature’s life, a blissful day.
God’s watching our deeds,
Through kindness, we must promise to fulfil each animal’s needs.
