BVRIT Hyderabad College of Engineering for Women organized its annual fest, SYNERGIA 2026, on March 31st and April 1st. The event brought together a vibrant mix of cultural and technical activities along with a variety of stalls, creating an energetic platform for students to participate, interact, and celebrate. Amidst this lively environment, the fest also became an opportunity to spread meaningful awareness and social responsibility.
At AWBP Trust, we constantly look for opportunities to create social impact that uplifts community welfare through animal welfare and rights. With this vision, our founder, Lakshman, reached out to the organizing team and proposed the idea of setting up a stall. We are grateful to the organizing lead, Ms. Malathi, for considering our request and allocating a space for AWBP Trust at such a prominent event.

Building a Purpose-Driven Team
We knew that standing out in a fest filled with energy and multiple attractions would not be easy. To make our stall unique and engaging, we decided to build a strong volunteer team from within the same college. We received 19 applications from enthusiastic students who were willing to volunteer with us. Since we required only 6 members, a short pre-interview process was conducted to select the final team. The remaining applicants were appreciated and encouraged to be part of our future initiatives.
The selected volunteers were given complete knowledge about our organization, their roles, and the values we stand for. They were also guided on representing animal welfare responsibly, ensuring that every interaction reflected empathy, awareness, and clarity.
Stall Setup and Engagement
On the day of the event, our team gathered on time and efficiently set up the stall with cement water bowls, awareness posters, books, and creative engagement elements. As visitors began interacting, the volunteers—despite this being a new experience for many—handled conversations with confidence, enthusiasm, and sincerity.

To ensure smooth functioning, responsibilities were clearly divided among the team members. This helped in avoiding confusion and allowed each volunteer to present the importance of animal welfare effectively to students, staff, and visitors.
Interaction with Students and Faculty
The response from the audience was encouraging and heartwarming. Many students and staff showed genuine interest in understanding how small actions can make a big difference. Several visitors collected animal water bowls to place outside their homes or campuses. Some engaged with the artwork displayed at the stall, while others supported the cause through donations.
The book “The Journey of Bunty & Chinku” also received attention, with many participants taking copies to learn more about compassion and coexistence. An interactive activity involving painting with natural colors helped create awareness about avoiding chemical-based alternatives.

We also emphasized the importance of caring for birds, suggesting simple solutions such as setting up bird feeders, nests, and water bowls in balconies for those who may not have outdoor spaces. Demonstrations of these setups made it easier for visitors to adopt these practices in their daily lives.
PDAC Club Initiative
A key highlight of our participation was introducing the Personality Development through Animal Compassion (PDAC) initiative. We had meaningful discussions with both students and faculty members about how this program can contribute to personal growth by building empathy, responsibility, and leadership skills.
Many students expressed interest in taking this initiative forward in their respective colleges. Faculty members appreciated the concept and recognized it as a valuable addition to student development. Some described it as a much-needed initiative in today’s environment and showed willingness to explore its implementation further.
We extend our sincere thanks to Ms. Sree Kala (NSS Program Head), Ms. Sai Leela, Mr. Gopi Prasad, Mr. Raghavendra, Ms. Rajini, Ms. Sowmya, and Ms. Thanuja for visiting our stall, interacting with the team, and encouraging our efforts.
A Meaningful Continuation
Our connection with BVRIT Hyderabad is not new. During a previous event in 2024, we had engaged with students and staff in a similar manner. This time, it was heartwarming to see many of them remember us and share that the water bowls they had collected earlier are still in use.
Knowing that those small actions continued beyond the event brought us immense happiness. Some visitors even chose to collect additional bowls and contribute further, reinforcing the idea that consistent awareness can lead to sustained impact.
Impact Created
Through our participation at SYNERGIA 2026, we were able to create measurable and meaningful impact.
- A total of 50 water bowls were distributed
- 44 copies of our book were shared,
- 54 coexistence posters reached individuals who showed interest in the cause.
- Overall, we interacted with approximately 500 people, each conversation contributing to greater awareness and responsibility.

Gratitude and Acknowledgement
We sincerely thank our dedicated student volunteers—Ms. Deepika, Ms. Ajita, Ms. Bhargavi, Ms. Vaishnavi, Ms. Rohitha, and Ms. Jahnavi—for their active participation over the two days. Their energy, commitment, and willingness to learn made a significant difference. Along the way, they also developed valuable skills such as teamwork, communication, and leadership.
We also express our gratitude to the college leadership, including Dr. K.V.N. Sunitha (Principal) and Dr. Chava Sunil Kumar (Vice Principal), for supporting our presence at the event. Special thanks to Mr. Guru Swamy, Ms. Malathi, and Ms. Ramya for their continuous guidance and encouragement.
Conclusion
SYNERGIA 2026 was more than just an annual fest—it became a platform where celebration met compassion. Through simple initiatives like distributing water bowls and spreading awareness, we were able to inspire individuals to take small yet meaningful steps towards community welfare by uplifting animal welfare and rights.
At AWBP Trust, we believe that true change begins with small actions. A single bowl of water, a moment of awareness, or a thoughtful decision can create a ripple effect in the community.
Because sometimes, the smallest act of kindness becomes the biggest reason for someone’s survival and community welfare.
