The Hyderabad Literary Festival (HLF) 2026, held from 24th to 26th January 2026 at Sattva Knowledge City, Hyderabad, once again brought together writers, artists, scholars, students, and creative communities from diverse backgrounds. This year, AWBP Trust was invited to participate and present its unique initiatives, contributing meaningfully to the larger cultural conversations around community responsibility, environment, and animal welfare.

HLF is known for celebrating creativity in all its forms—literature, arts, culture, and social thought. AWBP Trust’s participation added a fresh dimension to the festival by introducing the audience to the concept of animal welfare and rights as a form of social education and community engagement, particularly through creative activities and learning tools.
A Three-Day Engagement Focused on Compassion, Awareness & Action
During the three-day festival, AWBP Trust organized a series of interactive and awareness-building activities aimed at connecting different segments of society to the cause of animal welfare and coexistence. The stall attracted visitors of all age groups—from curious children to students, teachers, professionals, and senior citizens.

Public Engagement, Learning, and Dialogue
Throughout the festival, the Trust interacted with more than 500 visitors, raising awareness about community animals, coexistence models, and how small individual actions contribute to a healthier and more compassionate society.
Students and educators expressed enthusiasm about integrating animal welfare into academic spaces. Several college students even discussed forming animal clubs on campus, inspired by the idea of learning responsibility through real-world community engagement.
Corporate professionals, artists, and other delegates also stopped by to understand the mission and praised the Trust for its unique, hands-on, and educational presentation of a social cause, calling it both meaningful and noble.
Many visitors also expressed interest in volunteering at future events, recognizing the animal cause as an essential yet often overlooked component of community development.
Teamwork that Made the Impact Possible

Our Message
Participation in HLF 2026 reaffirmed AWBP Trust’s belief that animal welfare is not just a cause—it is a pathway to building stronger, kinder, and more responsible communities. The Trust will continue engaging with public platforms, educational institutions, and youth groups to foster awareness and action for animals, the environment, and coexistence.
Key activities included:
1. Animal Water Bowl Distribution
To promote hydration access for community animals, the Trust distributed cement water bowls, encouraging citizens to place them in accessible outdoor spaces. The idea resonated with many visitors who showed interest in supporting the initiative in their local neighborhoods.
2. Educational Book Distribution
The Trust showcased and distributed its educational book, The Journey of Bunty & Chinku, which highlights community responsibility, coexistence, and the importance of compassion toward animals. Many school and college students engaged deeply with the book’s concept and expressed that such content should be part of academic curriculum.
3. Art with Message — Poster Distribution
AWBP Trust displayed awareness-oriented artwork collected through nationwide art competitions. The posters artistically conveyed messages of animal welfare, environmental care, and empathy. Visitors appreciated the creative communication and took posters home to continue spreading the message.
4. Natural Color Artwork
To demonstrate sustainability and discourage toxic synthetic colors, a natural color art workspace was set up. Children and adults experimented with turmeric, charcoal, multani mitti, and other natural pigments—learning how eco-friendly materials protect animals, avoid cruelty testing, and reduce environmental damage.
5. Bird Nest & Feeder Display
To address the growing challenges faced by urban birds due to concrete landscapes, AWBP Trust showcased bird nests and feeders as practical tools for supporting urban biodiversity. Visitors showed keen interest in adopting bird-friendly practices.
