Our 151st event will always remain one of the most special and unique milestones in the journey of AWBP Trust. This meaningful event took place as a two-day, full-day engagement on 6th and 7th December at Unicent School as part of their grand annual fete and school celebration. We were invited to actively take part in this program to connect parents, teachers, staff, and students with the world of animals by organizing awareness-based, creative, and action-driven activities focused on animal welfare, rights, and environmental responsibility.

This school holds a very special place in our hearts because our association with Unicent School dates back to 2019. Over the years, we have closely worked with students through multiple animal welfare awareness sessions and compassion-based learning programs. In 2023, this bond became even stronger when our  book, The Journey of Bunty & Chinku, was officially launched on this very campus. Additionally, the school also serves as one of our active Animal Water Bowl Access Points, ensuring that community animals around the campus always have access to clean drinking water. This long-standing connection made our 151st event even more meaningful and emotional.

For our organizational initiative during this event, the school thoughtfully arranged four student volunteers and one teacher to support us throughout both days. On 6th and 7th December, our AWBP stall was arranged beautifully by our team members to ensure that the stall itself spoke a strong and positive message about animal welfare and rights. Every element of the stall was curated to encourage curiosity, compassion, and meaningful interaction.

The Natural Colours Artwork Activity was handled with great dedication by Varshith from 6th grade, Kushal from 4th grade, and Teacher Vyshanavi. They patiently explained to visitors, including parents and students, the advantages of using natural, homemade colours and the hidden dangers of chemical colours to animals, water bodies, and the environment. Their creative communication skills and confidence helped them engage visitors beautifully and encourage them to spend time painting the awareness board while learning an important life lesson about responsibility toward nature and living beings.

The Water Bowl Awareness Activity was taken care of by Anish from 10th grade and Styris from 9th grade. They sensitively explained the importance of clean drinking water for animals and how human actions and the destruction of natural habitats are making survival difficult for countless community animals. Their honest and heartfelt explanations touched many parents deeply, and several families were convinced to take water bowls from us to place outside their homes for the benefit of street animals.

On another side of the stall, AWBP volunteers Kalpana, Chandana, and Neeharika actively engaged visitors by explaining the artwork posters, introducing our book The Journey of Bunty & Chinku, and educating families on how to keep bird nests, bird feeders, and water bowls even in apartment balconies where space is limited. They beautifully showed how small actions inside our homes can create a big impact for birds and animals in the outside world.

Our team lead Lakshman continued to guide the entire event with great responsibility. He ensured that all team members received the support they needed, assisted them whenever they faced challenges, actively interacted with parents and students, answered their queries with patience, and helped them clearly understand the purpose of our work. During the event, we also spoke about animal-centric innovations and showcased one of our ideas focused on protecting animals from harmful small objects, which received encouraging appreciation from visitors.

The response from parents and students across both days was truly heartwarming. Many parents expressed their admiration for AWBP Trust and shared how happy they were to see an organization working for community welfare through animal welfare and rights. Students thoroughly enjoyed their interaction with our team, participating in creative activities and learning about animals, birds, and compassion. As a gesture of encouragement and learning, we distributed free book copies and bookmarks to all the students who visited our stall.

Impact ::

The impact created during these two days was both visible and powerful. In total, we distributed 39 water bowls, 35 book copies, and 100 bookmarks, and directly interacted with more than 155 parents and students. Each of these numbers represents a family that took a small but meaningful step toward kindness and coexistence. Click here for the event pictures.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to Principal Rama Devi Garu and Director Sunil Garu for believing in our vision and giving AWBP Trust such a valuable platform during the fete event. We also sincerely thank Anusheela Garu, Kavitha Garu, Karuna Shree Garu from the management, and Sai Garu for their continuous help and support at the ground level. Our special appreciation also goes to the school staff and security team, who took excellent care of our team throughout the event. The hospitality, warmth, and respect shown by Unicent School made this experience truly memorable for us.
