Hyderabad City’s First Vegan Marketplace
Since Hyderabad made its space on PETA’s Most Vegan-Friendly Cities in India in 2019, due to the changing times, we, the people of Hyderabad, are adapting to the healthier options of food, mainly plant-based and vegan foods. People’s attitudes are changing and shifting towards a kinder animal-friendly lifestyle.
So to bring all the conscious brands on a single platform, the event organizer AltMart, a Vegan e-commerce marketplace, and Enya, an alternative dairy brand, have hosted the city’s first-ever Vegan Market in Phoenix Arena Madhapur on 5th Dec’21, Sunday. Along with hosting the vegan marketplace, the event entertained the visitors with soulful music and colorful banners that reflected a common shared purpose towards a vegan-based lifestyle.
Our Organization Participated In Vegan Market
AWBP Trust and a dedicated team of volunteers participated in the event. The stall was decorated beautifully to attract visitors. The volunteers put up hoardings, flyers, banners, and relevant quotes of animal welfare to create awareness among the visitors. Our organization participated with creative ideas to sensitize the people about the importance of water bowls for the street animals.
To show the importance of clean drinking water for the animals, AWBP Trust had demonstrated by filling two jars containing contaminated water in one jar and clean water in another jar, thereby showing the difference between the two.
To create awareness, the Trust members have closely interacted with close to 60 members in the event about the importance of clean drinking water and educating the members about animal welfare and rights.
Education & Water Bowl Distribution
As part of the vision of AWBP Trust to support stray animals with safe drinking water round the clock in the community, the trust had distributed 27 small and big water bowls to quench the thirst of street animals to the members who cared Description (optional)about the welfare of the animals. As part of our social commitment to the environment, we also shared fact-based information about how the plant-based lifestyle contributes to a healthier planet and positively stops climate change.
The team had demonstrated its passion for animal welfare and rights by doing commendable work by explaining our project vision and ensuring that the team members were engaged in interacting with the visitors who showed interest in our work and had visited our stall. Few of the curious visitors voluntarily came forward to collect our free water bowls and contributed generously in the form of donations to support our vision.
This phenomenal event was made possible by a collective team effort of the event organizers who gave their heart to make this event a grand success. We are thankful to the Hyderabad Vegan Market team for their kind support.
Contribution Of Vegan Markets Towards Animal Welfare
We need to conduct more such vegan market events that contribute positively to a healthier planet and upliftment of animal welfare and rights in the community. Hyderabad Vegan Market events help create a collaborative platform that synergizes the efforts of various stakeholders that educate the people and empower the individuals to be responsible for the cause of the animals. AWBP Trust and its volunteers will continue the activities to contribute towards animal welfare and rights.
