On 3rd May 2026, AWBP Trust successfully conducted its “Drive for a Cause – Ride #10”, continuing its mission to build compassionate communities through simple, action-driven initiatives.
What is “Drive for a Cause”?
“Drive for a Cause” is a unique initiative where volunteers use their personal vehicles to create awareness about animal welfare. The team travels with animal water bowls, stops at key locations, interacts with local people, and educates them about their responsibility toward animals.
Individuals who are willing to support are encouraged to place water bowls outside their homes or workplaces. AWBP Trust provides these bowls after collecting basic details, ensuring accountability and continuity of care.
The core idea behind this initiative is twofold:
- To encourage people to use their vehicles for a meaningful social cause
- To identify areas where animals lack access to clean water and bridge that gap through community participation
Location Focus: IDL Bolaram Service Road, Hyderabad
For this drive, the team chose the IDL Bolaram service road in Hyderabad, an industrial stretch with minimal human activity.
This area is characterized by:
- Sparse shops and limited human presence
- A highway-like stretch where people rarely stop
- Few trees and scattered stagnant, polluted water sources
- A significant presence of animals including dogs, birds, cows, and buffaloes
Despite the visible animal population, there is almost no access to clean drinking water, making it a critical zone for intervention. This made it an ideal location for the Drive for a Cause initiative.
Community Support & Participation
A special thanks to Hrasha, who generously offered his car for this initiative. After understanding the purpose of the drive, he willingly dedicated his vehicle and time for nearly three hours. His patience, compassion, and willingness to contribute played a key role in making this drive successful.
The drive began at 10:00 AM and continued with multiple stops along the service road.
People’s Response
The response from the community was encouraging and heartening.
- People were quick to understand the importance of providing water to animals
- Many appreciated the initiative and acknowledged the effort taken by the team
- Some expressed that such awareness activities are rare today and appreciated the intention behind educating others

- Support extended to 50+ animals, ensuring access to clean water on an ongoing basis
