AIRA Retreat Hyderabad, in collaboration with AWBP Trust (Animals Water Bowl Project), conducted a meaningful awareness session at Tavaro Resort on April 27, 2026, from 3 PM to 5 PM. The session brought together children (Age 7 to 14 years) and organizers with a shared intention—to reconnect with mindful living and promote compassion towards animals and nature.

AIRA Retreat is led by a group of  trained and certified individuals from ISHA Foundation who focus on guiding people towards a better way of life rooted in simplicity and awareness. Their philosophy emphasizes reconnecting with our roots through practices like yoga, planting trees, interacting with soil, and embracing traditional ways of living. Their approach promotes a soulful, ethical life free from excessive desires and driven by balance and harmony.

Recognizing the alignment in vision, AIRA Retreat invited AWBP Trust to be part of this session. As an organization dedicated to community animal welfare and rights, AWBP Trust found this collaboration meaningful in spreading awareness about coexistence and responsibility towards animals.

Engaging Young Minds Through Awareness

The session primarily focused on children, making it interactive, educational, and impactful. AWBP Trust conducted a series of activities designed to instill compassion and responsibility at a young age.

One of the highlights was the distribution of the book “The Journey of Bunty and Chinku”, written by our founder Lakshman Molleti. The book conveys important values of kindness, empathy, and coexistence with animals. Along with the books, awareness posters were distributed, illustrating the relationship between humans and animals and the importance of living in harmony.

To further reinforce these messages, short films were showcased, helping children understand how community welfare and animal welfare are deeply interconnected.

Interactive Learning and Activities

An engaging Q&A session followed, where children actively participated and shared their thoughts and personal experiences. It was inspiring to see several children already involved in feeding animals and even supporting their medical needs.

As part of the initiative, water bowls were distributed to the children with guidance to place them outside their homes and ensure they are filled regularly for animals. This simple act was highlighted as a daily responsibility that can make a significant difference, especially during hot weather.

Additionally, practical demonstrations of bird nests and bird feeders were conducted. Children learned how these can be easily set up in their balconies or surroundings, not only enhancing the space but also providing food and water for birds. The activity emphasized how small steps can contribute to a healthier and more compassionate ecosystem.

Building Responsibility Towards Community Welfare

The session strongly emphasized the importance of community animal welfare and how animals contribute positively to our surroundings. Children were encouraged to adopt daily habits such as providing food and water to animals and birds, fostering a sense of responsibility and empathy from a young age.

Many participants expressed excitement about implementing these practices in their daily lives. Some children shared that they were already taking steps towards helping animals, reflecting the positive impact of awareness at an early stage.

Impact Created

Through this session, AWBP Trust was able to create a meaningful impact:

Each of these contributions extends the message of compassion and responsibility beyond the event into everyday life.

A Positive Step Forward

The session concluded on a fulfilling note, with the AIRA Retreat organizers expressing their appreciation and happiness with the outcome. They also shared their interest in continuing this collaboration and organizing more such sessions in the future.

This initiative once again highlighted how collective efforts and shared values can create a lasting impact in building compassionate communities.

Conclusion

The event was more than just a session—it was a step towards nurturing a generation that values empathy, simplicity, and coexistence. Thank you Aira Treat team for the opportunity.

At AWBP Trust, we believe that meaningful change begins with small, consistent actions. A bowl of water, a handful of food, or a moment of awareness can transform lives—both human and animal and the environment.

Because sometimes, the simplest acts of kindness become the strongest foundation for community welfare.
